NATIONAL HOLIDAY GOLDEN WEEK

The National Day of the People’s Republic of China additionally called Golden Week is celebrated on October 1 of every year.

The People’s Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949 with a ceremony in Tiananmen Square. The Central People’s Regime approved the Resolution on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China on December 2, 1949, in which it declared that October 1 was the national day.

The Chinese call this Holiday the golden week to this holiday because it refers to holy days for their culture.

This day is celebrated all over Mainland China Hong Kong and Macao with several festivities organized by the government, including fireworks and concerts. Public places, such as Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, are decorated with a festive theme.
